make terminal open at location you're viewing

Fedora 9
cd'ing one's way to a particular folder in the terminal can be a pain and I read once (somewhere) there's a way to open a terminal window at the location of the window you're viewing, but I can't remember what it was - some kind of key combination or something.
Does anyone know?

In KDE using konqueror, for instance, you can go to the menu "tools"->"open terminal".
That should do the trick. I guess that most file managers for Linux have similar options, if you don't use KDE

It really depends on the file browser that you use.
