Just tried to install a new kernel (v., and when I try to 'make mrproper', it says gcc doesn't recognize some of the lines (in 'scripts/').. My current kernel is 2.4.29.

What should I do?

What version of gcc are you running? You might also want to post the exact error messages to help us help you.
