Make a LILO Boot Disk?
After I installed and booted into Linux, how do I make a LILO boot disk to get back into Linux after I dismember LILO? (maybe by doing work under my Win98 partition). Afterwards, how do I reinstate LILO back without reinstalling Linux over? My boot options will not change during my operation. I am using RedHat 9, which I have found has no mkbootdisk command (I tried it, though I still have the manual entry:eek: ).

its in your /sbin which is probably not in the path
try using /sbin/mkbootdisk |

Much Anguish. It hasn't worked for me. Lemme try some more (though I really want to know how to reinstall LILO after I work on Windows :) )

No luck. I figured out I can use any Linux boot disk (maybe Tomsrtbt or something) to access my hard disk and recover my lilo.conf if I forget, or to transfer my lilo.conf back. How do I re-enable LILO since I will still have my valid lilo.conf file? If it takes a certain flavor or if you have a certain flavor but aren't sure about others, tell me how you have figured out has worked.
