Major problem losing pages

I keep losing the page I'm at on the net and Noticed that Show Desktop button 2.30.0 Hide All is on the left that I keep accidentally hitting. Is there another button invisible to me on the right side of the page. Keeps losing my internet page totally. I would like to disable the button(s) totally as it's very distracting. Apologies to Havoc Pennington but I don't like this at all.

The arrows up down vertical page movers I previously kept together and not separated by the large space and that may be the problem that Im clicking all over that area to page down and up. I installed Ubuntu today YEAH and love it but for this problem. Another question can I install a similar Ubuntu on Mac OS not the intel but from 2005?

I am not sure, but if your problem is the "show desktop" icon on the panel you can surely remove it from there just by right-cliking it and removing the applet from the panel.

I guess it's got a powerPC cpu then. Linux can run on powerpc, but I think Ubuntu doesn't distribute compilations for them. I found on their wiki that there's a powerpc ubuntu version, but it's community supported (i.e. not officially supported by Canonical, which is the enterprise that owns Ubuntu). See here.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCDownloads

But first, you need to confirm that your cpu is a powerpc chip.
