mail server postfix with mysql at rhel5
 

HI TO ALL , i m going to implement postfix mail server on rhel5 with mysql user databse.
now the prob. is =-
connetvity with db to postfix,
and cofngi


so if poosible plz help me..........

RH packages for RH don't have mysql support enabled. The two ways around it are to get the source rpm and tweak the spec file to include (I'm guessing here as to the exact name) --with-mysql as a configure parameter, or don't use the rpm and install from source, again specifying the relevant parameter for configuring with mysql support. Some distros have a postfix-mysql package byt RM doesn't from what I've seen.

As to how to use it, there are detailed docs on the postfix site.

I just downloaded the srpm for postfix, and in the spec file there's a switch at the top to enable MYSQL. Change this to 1 and rebuild.
