Mail Server

I am working in a small company which has almost 30 machine (fedora). Company use Open DNS (DNS + Mail server). The problem is that the e-mail's transaction is out of limit most of the times. I have to install mail server which handle e-mails within LAN if the user try to send e-mail to neighbour user.

Can it possible to configure E-mail server which handle e-mails transaction within LAN?

I try to configure DNS first but I get problem at the client passwords (POP)?
Can anyone suggest me a proper guidelines for it?
