Keep in mind that I am able to send out to other email addresses like gmail.
I was researching to try and find a solution but only came up with something about my host files. This is what mine looks like, is there a problem?
It looks like you have had your IP number blacklisted by "hotmail.com".
I know nothing about hotmail.com, but maybe you have been sending them spam. Even if you do not know it.
Are you dual-booting and using windows, even sometimes?
If so, your windows installation may have been compromised, and as you use the same IP address from linux, that has also been blocked.
It is possible, but unlikely, that your linux distro has been compromised (you as you have not provided any useful information about what you are running, and why, so it is difficult to help further).
I suggest you contact hotmail.com and ask them what the exact problem is. Then you can start a proper investigation, before all your other email accounts are shut down.
Im on a VPS which is running centOS. The hosting that I am with doesnt support email so I had to do this all myself.
The reason im thinking it has to do something with my SMTP server is that im also trying to connect my email address with Outlook express, in which everything is working fine although I just cant send out for some reason. Keep in mind when I use SquirrelMail web based client, I CAN send out. This is all so so strange ><
Also, the mail server has been up for about 2 weeks, possible to be compromised in that short time?
I am running into this problem with both Hotmail and Yahoo. Is it possible that neither likes a header (or mail envelope) with a relay=localhost.localdomain?

Hey Jeper,
Im still stuck on this issue as well. Very unfortunate ><
I think i pinned it down to having something to do with SMTP AUTH.
