madwifi problem, insmod error message

Hi all,

I'm experiencing a recent problem with madwifi, till this morning everything worked.
When I try modprobe -v ath_pci I get following message:
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.26.6-49.fc8/extra/madwifi/ath_pci.ko autocreate=sta # 'ap' for access point autocreate=ap
FATAL: Error inserting ath_pci (/lib/modules/2.6.26.6-49.fc8/extra/madwifi/ath_pci.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
DMESG gives: ath_pci: Unknown parameter `#'

Ichecked /etc/modprobe.conf this is the setting:
alias wifi0 ath_pci
options ath_pci autocreate=ap

What Am I missing?

uname -a = Linux fedora8 2.6.26.6-49.fc8 #1 SMP Fri Oct 17 15:59:36 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
lspci | grep Atheros = 02:04.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212/AR5213 Multiprotocol MAC/baseband processor (rev 01)

Thanks for any replies
Regards

Never could tell, in file /etc/modprobe.d/madwifi.rpmsave was that option and insmod read it. why did it read it? who knows, everything back to normal.
