Macbook pro retina webcam not working with ubuntu 12.0.4 (cheese)

Hi guys,

I have a macbook pro retina with a built in webcam. I am using ubuntu 12.0.4 LTS in vmware Fusion and tried to get my webcam to work by entering:

$ sudo apt-get install cheese
$ sude cheese

The window opens however it says "no device found" in the cheese GUI. I am not sure what the next steps to take to solve this so hopefully you could help me XD

Thanks for reading!

Turns out I could just go on my vmware settings and go to "USB and bluetooth" and allow my camera to work with ubuntu. hopefully this helps others out that are using a virtual machine on ubuntu!
