Mac OS X effect on Linux

Hello All,

I have a newbie question....

What is the package that gives Linux that Mac OS X look? More specific, that bar at the bottom that has the pictures on the bottom (SO sorry...I just don't know what it's called.)

Sorry for the newbish question....I'm more used to looking at my server (no X Windows installed)...not so good at the GUI stuff....Any help would be great...a how to link....the package name....Thanks in advance!

That's called the dock, and the application you want that look/works like the Mac OS X dock is KXDocker. It works on both Gnome and KDE. There are also Mac themes for wallpaper, icons, etc. There's a tutorial here.

There is another application that's called Kiba-Dock. It works on all desktop environments. More info here.

XFCE has the dock. And I'm not sure who had it first, XFCE or Mac.
