And when you do double post, its only going to annoy members and then get closed by a Moderator anyway. There is no need for double posting, and when you do it your totally showing NO respect for the rules and members on this site. And with over 21,000 members and close to 200,000 posts, your thread and questions will most likely be answered. I haven't seen one of yours go unanswered yet, so what's your problem ? I say follow the rules or don't post at all.

view that post. you think that's a good response to my question ? im missing dvdcodec....DUH ! Where cani download it

BYW...
YOU THINK I WOULDNT HAVE TRIED GOOGLE.COM ?! most of the sites i find are in the UK

Mephisto 01-04-2003 10:54 PM

http://cart.cheapbytes.com/cgi-bin/cart

I never used them. They were simply the first result of a google for linux cd US (after three or four unfruitful searches). Enter the store, cheap bytes CD. Lycoris is on the third page. It is $13, but that is about as cheap as you will find a 4 CD set. I would ship you a copy of Slack, but I am a snob so not Lycoris. :D

On an unrelated note, on the other thread you link to, your question was answered. What is another DVD player for linux? mplayer. You never asked about where to download the DVD codec, if you post a response in the thread asking where to get the DVD codec I bet you someone will respond. And if you can't find mplayer... uh, well OK.

acid_kewpie 01-05-2003 04:05 AM

well seeing as i DID try google, and DID find many many many sites all over the world...

play by the rules or just don't bother at all huh? you have no "right" to get a 27 page answer, if any, it is entirely voluntary.

feel free to leave, you will not be missed.

Most people get on just fine... mind you most people don't still want to pretend their in windows by using junk like lycoris.

DAChristen29 01-05-2003 06:12 PM

ok, so i double posted, so SUE ME ! i wont do it again, and its really not that big of a deal unless people like you make it into one. I wont do it again, and i'll take this as a warning.

Lets not act like a little child and begin to point the finger to blame others. You agreed to the rules when you registered to this site, moderators are the ones who make sure members are following those rules. Either you abide by the rules or don't use this site at all. Were making a big deal about it cause you seem to keep bringing it up, making silly comments like your last post.

I find your last post about the whole thing very rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful not only to the mods but to every member on this site. Everyone else tries to follow the rules we have here, they're here for a reason. If we didn't have rules, this forum would not be a very helpful, easy place to get answers your seeking.

So lets drop this and move on, no responses necessary regarding double posting.
