LXLE boot problem

Hello,

I have just entered the world of Linux by installing 32 bit LXLE on a MSI Wind U100 netbook.

Most things are fine, in fact the little PC runs much better than under Windows, however each time I power on the boot sequence is interrupted with a prompt as to whether I wannt to boot normally, boot in recovery mode, or do a memory test. I have tried all options but none seem to clear the problem. Booting also seems to be quite slow. As I said though, once it eventually boots into the system everything is fine.

I am struggling a bit with this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Michael.

What should happen is if you do not touch the keyboard, it should boot the highlighted choice after a timeout of some kind, maybe 5-10 seconds.

I'm a little reluctant for you to mess with the boot environment config at this point to make the boot sequence skip that screen.

FWIW, that boot option screen is the user interface to GRUB, the GRand Unified Bootloader.

Ahh, so that sequence is normal is it? Many thanks for the speedy reply. And you are spot on about not messing with anything I don't have to at this stage!

Cheers, Michael
