Lupu511 pupsave feature apparently is shutting down my notebook to often

Have a Sony VAIO VGN AR250G without a HD, so I'm booting up from a live cd. This feature Pupsave is a good thing but my iPod just has space for 1 pupsave file, which is already there.

Yesterday noticed that it turned off the notebook twice about every 2 hrs. apart. Today, it did it again but now was at about 30 mins or so. I'm afraid this message won't make it to you. For this reason I'm getting to the point right away.

How to stop this from happening again?

Thanks in advanced!

PSS. I suspect that this issue has something to do with the 'screensaver' feature because most of the time that it happens I'm away from the notebook for some minutes. The only time it happened that I as looking at the screen I was reading a long, rather not very interesting document; with this last clause I mean that the keyboard nor the mouse was touched for an extended period of time.

If you think the screensaver is the issue then I think turning off the screensaver is a good idea.
Another thing to check is the power management and check if something that shuts the computer from there.
Also check in the bios and see if there is anything useful there.
Also try to boot the laptop up without the ipod. Check and see if everything is good there.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Silverback for responding!

I tried to locate within the main system Menu anything that would resemble 'Screensaver' or 'Power settings' but never found something useful. In fact, even the ALSA mixer GUI that I'm used to can't be located as in PL 431 (which is what I'm using right now).

If you or someone else knows how to change this behaviour or locate these things would be very much appreciated!

There's something else that was left out of Lupu 511 that was working very well in PL 431, at least for me, & it's the ability of putting accents with the ease of just pressing down the <Ctl> + <'> keys prior to selecting a vowel in this case. There're other special characters that I miss in this distro so far...

Thanks in advanced!
