lp:error- no default destination available

The printer shows up in /proc/bus/usb/devices and has a driver. I just need to know how to get it to work. I get;

lp:error- no default destination available

I tried linux-usb.org and the site has been down all day. It worked yesterday but not now.

Is it defined in CUPS? The fact that the USB subsystem sees it doesn't necessarily
mean that CUPS knows about it.

Cheers,
Tink

cups it was. For anyone that needs to configure cups and a printer in the future, it can be done from the command line(at least in slack 11) like I did using the web browser lynx;

lynx http://localhost:631/admin

It asks for a user name and password. Im sure any browser will open that address though. From there you have complete administrative control.
