Lotsa help please...
I'm extremely new to Linux, i know almost nothing other than how to start it up and log in. I have so many questions it's just going to annoy people. So I thought i'd start with the question that might help answer the most: Does anyone know a really, really good and detailed (and free) tutorial for Red Hat 9? I'm stuck on quite a few things. thanks in advance for any help.

One suggestion is to put each of your questions as a seperate thread.
You often get "more qualified" answers and it makes it easier if others are searching for assistance and want to ask similiar questions to the ones you have or will ask. Prioritise you questions/posts i.e. in the order of importance (to you) or just do it one problem at a time. But if you can log in/boot up, where's the problem :D regards john p.s. dunno about tutorials for anything, let alone redhat - If you've got the disc's, make sure that you write down your preferences, then just "carry on meddling". If you screw it up, it's easy enough to re-install and if you've recorded the system preferences - just re-apply them. Places for help - well, tldp.org is one then theres google.com/linux or try the "man pages" in command line (though if you're not familiar with them, they can take a little getting used too) and you could also have a look at "rute user" (see the link in my sig) |
Why don't you try
http://www.linuxdoc.org http://www.google.com/linux and Redhat official website? I started with google/linux:newbie: |
