Hi,
Thought I might see if you could help ??
I have a small office network with a Cobalt Qube 3 acting as our in-house server. On the cobalt is our MySQL database. I did have everything set up with privileges, tables, asp applications etc, but yesterday I had a problem and think I have flushed all privileges, and so cannot even connect back into mysql.
I use telnet from my Win 2000 desktop, put in my username & password as if I was logging directly into the cobalt, which then prompts me:
[admin admin]$
I have tried all my old access details but nothing works, all i get is:
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
I just cannot log back into mysql, how can I set up new access rights if i cannot even log in through root ???
Appreciate your soonest response.
David Gordon
