Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I downloaded winetool and have it in my tmp directory. I can get into the winetools directory by clicking on the folder. But when I read the install instructions it says:
To install WineTools extract the archive in a temporary directory and call
"./install" as user "root". WineTools will get installed at
/usr/local/winetools.
There is an install icon there so I doubled clicked on it because I read somewhere if there was Install file all you had to do was click on it. The terminal window very briefly flashed. So I went to the /usr/local and see no wine tools folder.
When I cd I can get to $tmp but I can't get into the winetools folder.
You must use a terminal and issue "./insta;;" or whatever your instructions tell you. Do not double click the install instructions or script, that is MS, not linux.
