Question lost+found What happens if files are deleted from it?

I what to clean up and make room for memory. What happens if I delete files from lost+found, will this effect other programs, my operating system or can I delete them with out any discource other than losing a file. Do programs depend on files that end up in thelost+found for a given directory. P.S. If any one could give me a comand line example of how to delte a file in a directory's lost+found. Please give comand line in quotes and also use an actual name of a directory such as /media, /mnt ect.

Files appearing in lost+found are "re-attached" by fsck and are is a sign of recovery being incomplete. Files in lost+found do not affect memory in any way. While deleting files from lost+found does not affect your operating system in any way it would be good to verify and ensure that your operating system is functioning correctly. For removing files a 'find /lost+found -type f -print0|xargs -0 rm' should do.

Deleting files will give more disk space, not more memory.
