Question Looking for FTP site for older Distros

Hi,

I am looking for an online FTP site with downloadable ISO's of older versions of Mandrake (8.2) Or possibly a older version of Red hat. People have suggested searching with Google, but the results ar'nt very good unfortunatly.

Any info appreciated, thanks.

Jim.

Have you tried the ftp sites of the distro themselves?

Thanks,

Yup. Mandrake dos'nt seem to have an archive section for older versions on their web site.

And I need some advise about Red Hat before I know which version I need/want!
If I use Red Hat I'm looking for a version which is comprable to Mandrake Ver 8.2 (As I'd like USB drivers but also a version which will run at a decent speed on earlier Pentiums with about 64Mb RAM And STABLE)
Any further thoughts appreciated.

One option (and it's not ftp so ignore it if you wish) is to order some back issues of Linux Format - they had MDK8.2 as a cover disc.

In Windows I use SmartFTP - in their pre setup bookmarks they have a number of OS links and I'm about 95% sure that earlier versions are included on some of the sites. Assuming, that is, that you have a Windows box.....
