lokkit messing with my iptables

so I am running ubuntu 6.10 server. I installed lokkit using apt-get and played around with it. I then uninstalled it with apt-get because i didn't like it. there are still the lokkit iptables rules, so i removed them all and added my own. my problem is whenever i restart the server it removes my rules and resets the rules back to the lokkit rules. Is there a startup script that resets this all for lokkit that apt-get didn't remove? can you please help me. Thanks!
