logrotate log is not update


In my redhat server , I use logrotate to check and send log .

I got the below log everyday , I found that there are many telnet , ftp connection , I wonder if the log is not update , the data in the log seems is old data , if yes , can advise how can I clear the old data ?

Hi ust,

As I understood, that the data in the logs are seems to be old data and you want to remove the old data from the logs.
For that you can run the command "cat /dev/null > logfilename(eg: secure,messages).
