logout problem (mandrake 10/iceWM)

I seem to have a problem. I am using IceWM on mandrake 10 and was configuring icewm. I added a button for Nautilus on my taskbar, but when i clicked it, it looks like it added the gnome desktop (i have icons and can right click, etc). i don't really want that, but i don't see a way to get rid of it. This did not seem so bad untill i tried to logout (start -> logout) and i did nothing! the file ~/.icewm/preferences does not seem to have been changed. the only thing i know to do if i need out is change the runlevel and reset it to 5, CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?

the weird thing is that the same thing happened on my friend's computer yesterday, but we did not notice that both the logout and desktop problems occured at the same time.

thanks in advance to anyone that helps!
