Logitech MX Performance Mouse & Receiver-Debian Wheezy 7x

I have had a problem in that past using my Logitech MX Performance Mouse & Receiver under Wheezy. In fact I even tried recently under Wheezy 7.5 and gave after nstallation as it still had the same problem, whereby it will freeze or not run at all. So I installed Debian testing, and it worked but ideally guys, I would really like to run a stable version of Debian and was wondering if any of you knew of any resources or backports that may be of help or any advise on how to get the Logitech MX Performance Mouse & Receiver.

I have also come across a prog called Solaar - and you can add these repo's
deb ./
deb-src ./

Any opinions on the above.

As always, thanks in advance,
