Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810
Well people, I just got my new keyboard by mail. There is just one problem. it was design, to only work with Windows 8. Oh sure it will work with other OS's. Just not Linux. I have spent most of the day on the internet trying to find someone smart enough to help me get it to work in Ubuntu 14.04.1 From what I can tell you is my HP computer can not see the keyboard. Bluetooth nor a USB cable work to locate my new keyboard ???
What I need is a way to correct this problem using command line. |
Here are a couple of links were people got it to work with 12.04, 13.10 and 14.04. If the exact process doesn't work for you at least it will give you a starting point:

Mjonir, thanks, for the info. I tried all of them before posting here. I am hoping that a Linux Brainiac's will look into the k810 keyboard and write a program that will fix this Bluetooth malfunction. I should point out that this keyboard is not a cheap one. It cost 100++ buck to own this unit. Hence, I think many Linux users will be using this keyboard. So we need some help here.

i take it you saw the "Android 3.0 or later" part on the site
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/produc...-keyboard-k810 the very obvious but .... bluetooth is turned on ? i have it disabled on my systems - i do not use bluetooth from 2013 http://blog.chschmid.com/?p=1537 from 2012 http://devasive.blogspot.com/2012/11...h-pairing.html a post on the logitech site https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Keybo...35656?nobounce by: Monteperros from 08-16-2013 ubuntu forum from a few months back http://askubuntu.com/questions/57422...tooth-keyboard |
Well, John, I have tried all of that plus more! I am starting to worry that I have spent a hundred buck on a keyboard I can not use because I don't use Windows OS. Maybe I need to post my question in the software section of this forum? Of the hundred million Linux users, surely one of them has figured this one out???

810 keyboard
I am back. Four years ago I made the above post. I have yet to find the solution to pairing my 810 keyboard to my Linux Mint 18.3 Xfce. I guess I was wrong to think that some Linux Geek would have written software by now to solve my problem. I know what your thinking and yes I have installed Solaar the unifying receiver for peripherals which help a lot when I hook up my new mouse MX Master 2S. I have encounter recommendation that only a master programmer could do. Which is way above my pay grade. Has anyone heard of a solution in regards to the 810 or later?
