Login screen editing!!

simply put, i am running Fedora Core 3 and the 'Bluecurve' login screen kindda bugs me being blue! i simply want to change it to black instead of blue! how do i do it??

do i have to edit the /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file?? and if i do, what exactly do i edit??

Well, you can't really change an installed splashscreen. Download a new gdm theme and install it. To install it, download this nice program called gSplashFu.
