login problems--help!!
 

I'm sure the answer to this problem is quite simple, but as a newbie, I don't know it. I hit ctrl+alt+backspace and it took me to a text screen that I didn't know how to get out of. I rebooted, and it took me back to the same text screen. Can someone tell me how to get back to KDE? Thanks a lot.

login as your user

type your username and when it asks for password type that in

then type startx

u can also logon as root

Thanks. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I tried that, and it didn't work. It gave me a fatal error. Any ideas what might be going on?

Nevermind. I figured it out. I had accidentally typed something incorrectly in my XF86Config file.
