Login error


Hello,
I get some serious problems when I try to login in with root access, following error occur:

OS: RedHat 9.0
Installation: successfully
Can other user's login: Yes
Graphical Login: KDE
Out of diskspace: No, 10 G
When did it happened: After first reboot, only did some apache config stuff, reboot apache successfully
Newbie: I am totally a newbie (First time)


Help!!!

su -

?

Hello, thanks for te quick answer.

If I login in failsafe with root, and type su -
nothing happend, just a new line
[root@localhost]#

Does it log you out in failsafe mode, too?
If it doesn't, go to /var/log, and start reading :)
the most recent logfiles.

Okey, I'm in /var/log

I get lots of files. I don't find any date, maybe you got the command?

Try
ls -ltr
(man ls for an explanation)
Then, consider the files at the very
bottom...
