Loggin In As Root

I'm using Mandrake 9.2 but I can't figure out how to log in as root.

I'm also using KDE. Thanks!

do you know how danger to login as root?
little bit careless, you will mess up your system file.
little bit careless, when other know your root passwd, he is the boss of the system.

I am not familiar with MDK cos i used it only 4 days, i think it is not suit for me (maybe) but in command prompt type su - and enter your root passwd.

You did say you were using mandrake 9.2 so here is the process I used to get to a GUI in root. Click on your K start menu and click log out , then click log in as different user.when the log on screen comes up type root as user and then enter your root password.It should log into a Red screen with no desktop except your K start tab to open the file and apps.Hope this helps. BTW be careful in there,any changes can be disastrous
