Log into Linux from win using dial up

I would like to be able to dial into my Linux box using my laptop, however the laptop uses Win98.

I know I should be able to log in using telnet, but how do I get my Linux box to answer the phone when I dial in?

your linux box must be on and have an valid ip address. You can telnet from your win sys. with to the ip address specific for you linux box. Remember to create a user and enable telnet connection on your linux box. Then everything should work.
