log in as Root in gui
how can i log into gui as root? I'm using distro fedora 12.

Root login in GUI is blocked by default for your security reasons. I think you should reconsider your thoughts on logging in as root. You will make your system vulnerable.
But if you still want, you can edit gdm configuration. There is a graphical utility as well I guess where you can enable root logins.
But seriously you should reconsider this.

If you sure know what you want to do, you can edit user profile then unlock root group and rights , also edit GDM login to enable root access. Hope this will help

You really really DON'T want to do that. There are no
valid reasons/needs for it, and many good reasons against
it. What makes you want to do such a silly thing?

If you want to run a GUI app. as root, for instance a text editor, use kdesu (for KDE, obviously) or gksu (for Gnome):
Code:
kdesu kwrite [then the path to whatever file]
or
Code:
gksu gedit [then the path to whatever file]
