.Log Files on Linux mail server using up all my hard drive space

I am new to Linux. We have a linux mail server that handles a lot of our exchange accounts. just recently, the .Log files have been much bigger than usual and filling up the hard drive so much that the emails stop coming in. any thoughts or ideas on how I can put a stop to these unnecessary .Log files from taking up so much space?

You can use logrotate to compress and delete log files as they get larger, but the better question would be why are these logs suddenly taking up so much space? It sounds like your mail server may be under attack or perhaps being used as a relay.
