Local Host Printer Problem on Xubuntu 13.04
I recently installed xubuntu 13.04 and I tried to install my printer (Brother-MFC 240C) which connects to the USB port. I went through the installation and it appears on "printers-localhosts". The device is said to be connected and when I attempt to print, my printer reads "receiving data files" but nothing happens. In the printer properties windows it says that the Printer state is"Idle - sending data to printer." Any idea of what might be wrong?

Scanner Drives for MFC 240c
I don't know which scanning drivers to install for the MFC 240C printer. I use simply scan and it doesn't detect the scanner feature of my printer.

With the printer turned on, run the command: sane-find-scanner; read the output to see if the scanner is detected.
Run: scanimage -L; check the output. If you get no positive result, check to see if you have sane installed. The link below has info: http://www.sane-project.org/ |
