Question "build" in my old kernel module is blinking

In my /lib/modules repertory I have 2 different repertories:

2.2.16-22 (old kernel)
2.2.21 (new kernel)

In my old one, there is "build" in red blinking. Why is that ?

A blinking red file is a broken symlink. If you do a ls -l you should see that the file is actually a symlinked directory to something like ../../../usr/src/linux-2.2.16-22/. Check to see if that directory exists. Since it's your 'old' kernel's modules directory, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you intend on booting your old kernel and loading its modules.

Hope this helps.
