loading linux red hat 7.2 with kde

I am running linux red hat 7.2 server with kde and connect to internet sharing. when I reboot the system and put my login (root) it shows me You got email then shows like
[root@user root]#. The question I want to pose are :
1. how can I load linux from that prompt..?

Do you mean how can you get into X from there? Once you login you ARE in Linux. If you want to get to X type:

startx

Also you shouldn't be logging in as root everytime.
