Loading Knoppix 5.1 into RAM
Hey everyone.
I'm trying to get Knoppix 5.1 to load into RAM so I can burn my data to a CD or DVD.
I heard from some people that it was pretty simple.
However, I cannot find any documentation on how to load it.
I found one command online that said to use "slax toram"
However, that did nothing.

The correct syntax for standard knoppix kernel is:
knoppix toram
instead of slax toram which would only be appropriate if running the slackware live CD slax. I am not sure what the min RAM required but you should probably have at least 1GB.
The knoppix kernel options are known as cheat codes if you desire to find out more information.

This is entered at the boot loader prompt before the OS is loaded i.e.

These "cheat codes" are included in a file on the livecd.
You need at least 1GiB RAM to work this manner. With 2Gib you can do anything you want. I even did photo processing with GIMP this manner.
