Loading Firebird on Mandrake 9.0

I have been using MozillaFirebird-0.7 as my browser on my XP machine(can't break my wife yet), I loaded Mandrake 9.0 on a Compaq Armada 7800 today. I downloaded MozillaFirebird-0.7 but I'm not able to upload it instead of the default Mozilla browser 1.1. Any help would be great and thank you.
