Livepatch???

I'm on Xubuntu and the 18.04LTS version. I got this (first screen shot).

I read about it and they said this is what I should look for (second screen shot).

But when I clicked on the "Settings & Livepatch" button and then my "Updates" tab in the "Software & Updates" window I got this (third screenshot).

So no place to click. Am I missing something?

And I read about this Livepatch. The big security plus is I don't have to reboot after I get a software update? I mean, it's not going to install the update automatically, right? So I just don't have to take one minute to reboot--as far as I can tell that's the only benefit. Is this the case? They say it makes the computer more secure between restarts, so that means if I delay the restart, and a security patch is not installed, the computer's vulnerable till I restart, right?

And unless I'm missing something it looks like I can't even get it.

This stuff only matters to guys running 24/7 servers with loads of connections. Reboot if you want to and don't mind it.

In the situation of a server reboot, everybody gets dumped offline, mail goes awol, everyone is logged out, website(s) go down, the system reboots and perhaps does an automatic disk check. Somebody could get themselves fired over that. So livepatch allows them to do stuff with server programs to avoid rebooting.

You're using client programs, not servers, I imagine.

Thanks a lot, business kid. Yep, I'm just a regular user. No servers. So I'll just ignore it. Appreciate you responding.
