live dvd fedora 8 X86_64


Hello,

After trying this, i still can't start linux.
Now i have Question to all of you.

Is it possible to edit an existing live dvd in windows because it's the only working system on my pc for now?

What i mean is that i would like to make a live dvd with all the driver i need for my computer so it can start and when i like it, install it.

Now because i am a newbie it would nice that one off you pro's help me with this.

my computer has the following hardware.

Intel pentium dual core 3ghz
Nvidea gforce 6800
creative home cinema 7.1
2 harddrives
24'' dell flatscreen
asus usb wireles network adapter
usb wireless keyboard and mouse logitech

first thing, you have an x86 processor so wont be able to boot x86_64 kernel...
Try downloading an x86 live boot dvd, an you may find it easier...

I would download & try Ubunutu: http://www.ubuntu.com
Make sure you get the x86 version, not 64bit version.
