Lite Linux boots from USB but not from HD

I thought installing lite linux would be straight-forward: burn myself an ISO, set my boot mode to Legacy instead of UEFI, boot from USB, and install Lite Linux. All went to plan and I removed the USB and rebooted the computer, only to get a boot menu that has
1. Windows Boot Manager, and
2. eMMC Disk: SanDisk iNAND 32GB,
neither of which gets the computer booted (hitting enter on either one just brings up the same screen).

I assumed there must have been a problem with my install, but when I re-insert the USB, boot from the USB, and try to install LL again, it just tells me that it's already installed. I tried re-installing it anyway, but nothing changed.

Preliminary looking online suggests that maybe I should have done something while the machine still had Windows (before initially installing LL) to address some sort of UEFI/Legacy issue, but I don't actually know if that's the problem or not. Any help would be appreciated! FWIW, I'm not techy enough to know a lot of fancy jargon, but I am comfortable working with the command-line.

It isn't good to mix efi with legacy on the same drive. It really depends on your how the efi bios is set up by the manufacture if one can mix legacy and efi. That said, boot from the usb, open a terminal and post the output of
Code:

sudo parted -l
that is a lower case L

Thanks! I got it figured out over on the LinuxLite website: https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/i...t-without-usb/

I can't figure out how to mark this solved though, because when I click "thread tools" at the top (like it says to in the FAQ), my only options are to show printable version, email the page, or unsubscribe from the thread.

On top there's a link in blue letters that says, "Mark as solved' or something quite similar.

Huh. That option was definitely not there yesterday. I wonder if there's a minimum number of posts or if my account was too newbie for it to allow that option (since I had one question posted, but no replies to anything posted previously)? In any case, it's an option now! :) Thanks!
