List of Linux Security Technologies

Hi, I was hoping someone could list some Linux security Technologies for me other than SELinux, chrootjail, and iptables.

Thanks,

In what context?? This question is a bit open-ended, and could include ANYTHING from password modules to disabling the GUI login window. 'Security' is a vague term...what are you trying to accomplish?

If this is just a homework question, you'd be better off with a Google search.

Thanks for your input, this is not a homework question per say. I am doing a research paper on Linux security and have already covered the a fore mentioned technologies and was hoping some one would give some other topics I could research, just to be thorough, and you did give some other avenues to pursue that I hadn't thought of.

Thank you,

I don't know what exactly constitutes a technology in this context (is locking the box away somewhere a technology? what about a UPS? what about keeping users informed so that they don't fall for phishing scams?), but rather than start from a google (...other search engines exist...) search, you could have a look at the stickies in the security forum. There is a lot of information there.

and off the top of my head:
passwd+shadow files+passwd prog
pam(!)
tcp wrappers
see (on RHEL/Centos) the contents of /etc/security
... and lots more eg http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_boo...ity_index.html

According to the stats the most important Linux security technology on www.linuxsecurity.com is-
SELinux - 98.5%
iptables - 1.2%
grsecurity - 0.1%
Bastille Linux - 0.1%
LIDS - 0.1%

Another thing I found is CyberGuard device is also there, you might be interested in that.
