linuxmint and dns leaks

My question is as follows: If I am using linuxmint as an OS and not a server and If I am using an openvpn provider to hide my real IP address and I use a dns resolver service such as http://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/dnsentropy to test my dns address(it should only belong to the openvpn provider and NOT my ISP) what am I to make if my ISP dns address appears in the results....is my DNS leaking?

Hi there,

Can you provide more details? Which openvpn provider are you using, and how are you connecting to them (native openvpn client, their client, or router based)?

I tried this using privatetunnel.com and got the expected results (no trace of my real IP anywhere).

Thanks for the response. Here is the scenario I operated under. I use bwprivacy.to and connect using my openvpn client in network-manager. I am connected with a 2wire router on a wireless connection. I find the results of the dns-oarc test sporatic. Some servers leak while others don't. Some beowsers, chromium are better for maintaining my privacy than others, Firefox 11.

I discovered laST NIGHT THAT IF i CONNECT TO THE ROUTER VIA lan CONNECTION THERE HAS BEEN NO LEAKS. Is there something between wired and wireless that could affect my ISP address showing up in a DNS leak test results?
