Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver ... will it work on Intel's i7

Hello everyone,
I am new at posting questions in this forum, so I am not sure if this question even belongs here. My question is related to a graphics card that I will be buying shortly. The card is to support EM64T ... and I am not sure whether this refers to all Intel 64 bit processors (I am running 64 bit CentOS ... in case you wanted to know) or only to the Itanium architecture?

EM64T is just a name Intel initially used for their chips implementing the AMD64 instruction set. So, yes it's the same as AMD64.
Edit: Itanium is IA-64 (somewhat confusingly)
