Linux wont let me open the cdrom
I run linux slackware 9.0 in KDE (I am totally newbie with linux)
And when i press the button on my cdrom, the cd wont come out... Why is it so ? how do i fix it ? |
That's not an issue. This is actually a great function avoiding you to open the CD-rom when you should not do it :).
I believe you have mounted the cd rom as root (mount /mnt/cdrom). You could either unmount it (umount /mnt/cdrom) as root or eject it(type eject at the console, you need to have the eject program installed and it's installed by default :)) |
Oh yeah, you should not be located in the CD-rom directory, or using the CD-rom with another program or else it will return an error like "Could not eject/unmount, CD rom is busy".
