It worked but my screen went really really funky and i had to shut down and restart cause it was so bad, it was like the resolutions were way off.

You may be able to switch screen resolution by holding down
Ctrl+Alt and using the number pad + and -

I tried that and my screen was still all messed up, it said in the install that the links to the website didnt install right, and i just launched the game from the install screen, is that ok?

That is ok. You can also decide not to launch it from install screen (uncheck the box) and launch it later as shown in Step 3 and Step 4.

Also, you don't need to reboot to fix the resolution problem.
Just log out (Actions --> Log out --> Log out) and log in again.

How do I log out? I know how to normally, but I can't see my screen.

Also, try the following :

1. holding Ctrl+Alt and using F8 key to fix the resolution problem

2. holding Ctrl+Alt and using Delete key to log out
