Linux vs Kyocera KPC650 EVDO Card

I'm wondering (hoping) there might be someone who would have greater knowledge than myself in getting a Kyocera KPC650 EVDO modem card working within the Linux environment. The only thing I've been able to come up with is that the newly released Linux Kernel 2.6.18 does in fact support the KPC650 card??? But I'm stumped from there...
