Hi all...

I'm hoping someone may be able to help. As you can imagine, I've been pulling my hair out with this one.

I have a VPS with 4 sites hosted using Ubuntu and Plesk.

I have a directory for one of the sites:
www.sitea.com/ftp_dir with the username "user1"

I then wish to create a user with the same username "user1" on a different site: www.siteb.com/ftp_dir

They have been setup as 2 separate sites via Plesk (all 4 have in fact).

Unfortunately, I have some hard-coded software that has the username/password fixed (go figure?) and cannot be changed.

I'm afraid my knowledge of setting up modules is fairly limited.

It sounds like you can probably do everything you want directly from the Ubuntu command line:

1. Run "adduser" from the command line:

2. Follow these steps to install and configure your FTP servers:

I'm struggling to see how I can add the same user to two different sites? Any ideas?
