Linux Viewer for MS Outlook Email Archive Files

Hi. I'm look for a way to view my archived email from MS Outlook on a Linux machine. Is there a way to archive my MS Outlook email and then maybe convert to another format, and then view those emails from a Linux app (I don't know which app)?

I would help if you shared the file extension you're interested in. For example you can view .mht format just fine in Thunderbird. I have no idea what format MS Outlook uses. There is also this Firefox add-on:

UnMHT 6.3.3

UnMHT allows you to view MHT (MHTML) web archive format files, and save complete web pages, including text and graphics, into a single MHT file in Firefox/SeaMonkey.
You can get it here.
If it's not mht you want then please be kind enough to tell us what you're looking for.

I don't know the file format. That is part of the question. How can I convert MS Outlook folders to a format which I can use in a Linux System?

I mean the format of the files on the Windows system. You don't know that? Look at them. The part following the full stop is the extension. What is the extension of the files you want to read in linux?

I don't know their extension for sure. I have not created any archive files yet. However, I think the default way of doing this creates files with a .pst extension, if that helps. But maybe there's another way to do this?

Also make 100% sure that you TURN OFF "hide file extensions of known files"
the default behavior of windows is to HIDE the file extensions

This makes sure that "Music.mp3" file is not seen by the user AS the REAL name " music.mp3.exe" and you install the virus instead of listing to the music file

I have used readpst, which is a utility from libpst, to read and convert MS Outlook pst archive files to mbox format. It worked really well.
