Linux unable to load KDE
Hi,
I am a Linux newbie. I just installed Mandrake Linux version 9 on my PC. When I booted after installation, I was only able to log on through the console. The desktop did not load and when i tried to run KDE from the command line, the screen went blicked several times and came up with the following error; (EE) Screen(s) found but none has a usable configuration. Fatal server error: no screens found Someone told me to run the desktop using cttrl/alt/f7 but when I did, the screen went black and a cursor continued blinking at the top of the screen. I had to press ctrl-alt-del to shut down I'll appreciate anyone who can help. Thanks! |
