Linux Tool & Firefox

I am using Linux as virtual guest. I would like to use the web browser Firefox. In the virtual/guest title bar (using VmWare Player) I have chosen "installed tools installation" the system just sends me and icon on my desktop of a DVD titled VmWare Tools, then when I click on the Firefox web browser i get the Off Line Mode message, I go to file and remove the check from "work Offline" click "Try Again" the system message is "Firefox cannot find the server at: start.fedoraproject.org
What can I do.
