Linux to partition the hard disk drive


What are the different methods used in Linux to partition the hard disk drive

The most basic command-line is fdisk. If you prefer some GUI, then the best known are gparted for Gnome or qtparted for KDE.

Most distros also offer a GUI partitioning tool during install.

cfdisk is a little easier to use than fdisk. It's reminiscent of DOS fdisk.
